MY PURPOSE
To Cultivate a Culture of Happiness and Success
I was struggling with my business, asking myself the all-important question that made all the difference:
“What is my purpose here?”
Now, with a thriving business voted one of the Top 100 places to work in Oregon, I’m out to help others cultivate a culture of happiness and success in their own business.
WHY I'M HERE
A Passion for Making a Difference
After relocating to Southern Oregon, my husband wanted to buy an automotive business. So, with no prior business ownership experience, we jumped in. As John Maxwell would say, “Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn.” Like you, I know what it’s like to be an entrepreneur, make costly mistakes in business, barely get by the first years, and lean on family for help. A lot of help.
After awhile, I began to ask myself, “What is my purpose here?” I love making a difference in business, but cars are not my passion. I wanted to find a way to bring a little bit of me to the business and incorporate my passion for advocating for my people, my clients and the community.
I joined a marketing mastermind group and gained a lot of marketing expertise. I also fell in love with cause-marketing communication, making a difference in and outside of our businesses, and all the impacts it can have.
I learned that any business, even an automotive business, can be the vehicle for making a difference. We can make a big impact in the world through our businesses. By being good stewards of the people in your care, you are helping to create a purpose for them at work, a culture they can thrive in, and success for your business.

Our business Kelly ‘s Automotive Service has been voted Best of the Best in our region for the last 10 years, voted one of the Top 100 places to work in the state of Oregon (thanks to our staff!), Retailer of the Year from the Medford and Jackson County Chamber of Commerce, and Small Business of the Year from Grants Pass and Josephine County Chamber of Commerce.
I am humbled to have been nominated for Woman of the Year by the Grants Pass and Josephine County Chamber of Commerce, and helped build 4 successful Business
Network International Chapters (BNI) from scratch, which resulted in 2 International awards.
Today I help other small business owners create an environment where their staff is productive, looks forward to coming to work and is proud to be part of a successful business that contributes to the community.
